Electronic Billing Capacity. The PIHP must be capable of accepting HIPAA compliant electronic billing for services billed to the PIHP, or the PIHP claims management agent, as stipulated in the Michigan Medicaid Provider Manual. The PIHP may require its providers to meet the same standard as a condition for payment.
