Common use of ELIGIBILITY STANDARDS Clause in Contracts

ELIGIBILITY STANDARDS. Employee eligibility standards for health care benefits shall be determined solely by the Board of Trustees and as permitted under existing law. The Employer and the Union will work with the Trust to ensure, that in the future, the Trust has sole responsibility for notifying newly eligible workers of their opportunity to enroll, enrolling eligible workers, providing open enrollment notifications and follow up to secure required applications/documentation, dis-enrolling ineligible workers and providing COBRA notifications and follow up. The Employer will provide the Trust with hours worked and other information needed by the Trust to determine eligibility, enroll eligible workers, and dis-enroll ineligible workers.
