Common use of Employee Contract Clause in Contracts

Employee Contract. 1. Regular, full-time returning teacher's contract will specify one hundred eighty (180) days of work. Teachers will be responsible for having their classrooms ready for beginning of school activities and the first day of school. 2. Annual salary shall be specifically stated. 3. Salary installments will constitute 1/12 of the teacher's annual salary, minus deductions. 4. Contract is not valid unless the teacher submits a teaching certificate acceptable in the State of Washington and appropriate for the teacher's assignment. 5. Each individual building leadership team shall meet with building principals to construct a site-specific teacher work calendar. The team shall examine the workload (district and site priorities) prior to establishing the staff work calendar for the school year. 6. The salary in the Employee Contract covers the professional responsibilities of the teacher. These responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: a. grading and record keeping b. preparation for the opening or closing of school c. contact with parents other than student conferences d. development of instructional materials e. Open House or back to school nights f. collaboration with peers g. time related to TPEP
