Common use of EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT & TRAINING Clause in Contracts

EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT & TRAINING. The City recognizes the need for the training and development of employees in order to provide services efficiently and effectively. In recognition of such need, the City will provide employees with orientation as to procedures, forms, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment normally used in the employees' work assignments and deemed necessary by the City for the performance of such work assignments. The City will pay the cost of any employee training or schooling if required by the City, State, or Federal Governments, including any necessary and reasonable incidental expenses. In accordance with the FLSA, employees will be compensated at their applicable rate of pay for any required and approved training or schooling.
