Common use of Employee Participation in Union Activities Clause in Contracts

Employee Participation in Union Activities. Subject to appropriate advance notice and scheduling/staffing requirements, Union officers, delegates and members of contract committees may use eight (8) hours per calendar year of their continuing education leave/time to attend union-sponsored training in leadership representation and dispute resolution. The Union must provide written notification to the Employer’s Human Resources Division yearly of the names of Union officers, delegates and members of the contract committees in order for those individuals to be eligible to access their continuing education leave/time under this provision.
