Employee Representatives and OHS Representatives. All persons covered by this Agreement recognise the important role of Employee Representatives and OHS Representatives. The Employee Representatives and OHS Representatives have a key role in the early intervention in industrial disputes and health and safety issues under this Agreement.
Employee Representatives and OHS Representatives. 16.1 Time during working hours
(a) Employee Representatives and OHS Representatives shall be allowed without loss of pay all reasonable time during working hours to attend to their roles which includes, but is not limited to, the Employee representative rights set out below.
(b) Shop Stewards and Occupational Health and Safety Representatives Meetings
(i) The Employer will release from work without loss of pay each accredited Shop ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ and Occupational Health and Safety Representative to attend monthly meetings conducted by the ETU to consult on industry related matters. Other meetings agreed by the Employer and the ETU will also be covered by this clause.
(ii) It is understood that only one Shop ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ per Employer, per site shall attend such meetings or as otherwise agreed between the Employer and the ETU.
Employee Representatives and OHS Representatives. The parties to this Agreement recognise the important role the employee representative(s) and Health & Safety Representative(s) play in representing the employees at their workplace. The employee representative(s) and Health and Safety Representative(s) have a key role in the early intervention in industrial disputes and Health & Safety issues. Employee representative(s) and Health & Safety Representative(s) shall with the managements prior approval, be allowed reasonable time during working hours to attend to respective industrial and occupational health & safety matters on behalf of the company employees. When the employee representative(s) and Health and Safety representatives are not representing their fellow company employees on legitimate business they shall be engaged as employees and performing normal work. The parties recognise that employees have the right and expectation of representation from accredited employee representative(s) Employee representative(s) and Health & Safety Representative(s) to be voted into their positions from a secret (valid majority) ballot of their fellow employees. Representatives must make prior arrangements with management in order to attend to their workplace representative duties during a working day.
