Employee Representatives and OHS Representatives. All persons covered by this Agreement recognise the important role of Employee Representatives and OHS Representatives. The Employee Representatives and OHS Representatives have a key role in the early intervention in industrial disputes and health and safety issues under this Agreement.

Employee Representatives and OHS Representatives. 16.1 Time during working hours (a) Employee Representatives and OHS Representatives shall be allowed without loss of pay all reasonable time during working hours to attend to their roles which includes, but is not limited to, the Employee representative rights set out below. (b) Shop Stewards and Occupational Health and Safety Representatives Meetings (i) The Employer will release from work without loss of pay each accredited Shop Xxxxxxx and Occupational Health and Safety Representative to attend monthly meetings conducted by the ETU to consult on industry related matters. Other meetings agreed by the Employer and the ETU will also be covered by this clause. (ii) It is understood that only one Shop Xxxxxxx per Employer, per site shall attend such meetings or as otherwise agreed between the Employer and the ETU.

Employee Representatives and OHS Representatives. The parties to this Agreement recognise the important role the employee representative(s) and Health & Safety Representative(s) play in representing the employees at their workplace. The employee representative(s) and Health and Safety Representative(s) have a key role in the early intervention in industrial disputes and Health & Safety issues. Employee representative(s) and Health & Safety Representative(s) shall with the managements prior approval, be allowed reasonable time during working hours to attend to respective industrial and occupational health & safety matters on behalf of the company employees. When the employee representative(s) and Health and Safety representatives are not representing their fellow company employees on legitimate business they shall be engaged as employees and performing normal work. The parties recognise that employees have the right and expectation of representation from accredited employee representative(s) Employee representative(s) and Health & Safety Representative(s) to be voted into their positions from a secret (valid majority) ballot of their fellow employees. Representatives must make prior arrangements with management in order to attend to their workplace representative duties during a working day.

  • EMPLOYEE REPRESENTATIVES The Union may, by written notice to the Director of Human Resources and the Director of Health and Human Services, designate the Union Chapter President and five (5) of its members as shop stewards. Shop stewards shall be permitted reasonable time for Union activities. Total employee time in all the Union bargaining units spent on Union business during each week shall not exceed twenty (20) hours and no individual employee shall spend more than four (4) hours of County time on Union business, exclusive of the Professional Performance, Safety, and MOU Cleanup Committees. Union activity shall be defined as participating in resolution of contract disputes during the life of the Agreement and the adjustment of grievances of employees in the bargaining unit, subject to the limitations set forth in this Agreement. These permitted activities performed during the normal employee duty time of such designated shop stewards shall fall within one of the following categories: 1. Discuss with an employee a grievance or complaint. 2. Make inquiries in order to obtain relevant information related to a grievance, including discussions with supervisors, other employees or other management officials. 3. Assist employees in preparation for, or represent employees and review steps of the grievance procedure or arbitration. 4. Participate in discussions or meetings with supervisors, other management officials, or other involved parties, e.g., the Union, regarding grievances and such other issues directly related to wages, hours or working conditions, and mutually agreed-upon matters. 5. Prepare for scheduled meetings between the County and the Union. When any shop xxxxxxx is conducting business as defined above, the xxxxxxx will request the permission of his/her immediate supervisor in reasonable advance of any meeting, advising the supervisor of his/her destination and when he/she expects to return. Upon returning to his/her duty station, the shop xxxxxxx will notify his/her supervisor. Upon arriving at the work place of an employee to be represented, the shop xxxxxxx shall normally be permitted to contact the employee. The represented employee also shall be required to request permission for time off in reasonable advance of any meeting. To the maximum extent possible, interviews between representatives and the employees will be held away from other employees and away from the public. All union activities shall be conducted in such a manner as not to disrupt departmental business or the activities of the employees involved.

  • Employee Representative The employee may choose someone to represent him or her at any step in the procedure. No person hearing a grievance need recognize more than one representative for any employee at any one time, unless he or she so desires.

  • Contractor’s Representative Contractor hereby designates [***INSERT NAME OR TITLE***], or his or her designee, to act as its representative for the performance of this Agreement (“Contractor’s Representative”). Contractor’s Representative shall have full authority to represent and act on behalf of the Contractor for all purposes under this Agreement. The Contractor’s Representative shall supervise and direct the Services, using his best skill and attention, and shall be responsible for all means, methods, techniques, sequences and procedures and for the satisfactory coordination of all portions of the Services under this Agreement.

  • Consultant’s Representative Consultant hereby designates XXXXXX, or his or her designee, to act as its representative for the performance of this Agreement (“Consultant’s Representative”). Consultant’s Representative shall have full authority to represent and act on behalf of the Consultant for all purposes under this Agreement. The Consultant’s Representative shall supervise and direct the Services, using their best skill and attention, and shall be responsible for all means, methods, techniques, sequences, and procedures and for the satisfactory coordination of all portions of the Services under this Agreement.

  • City’s Representative The City hereby designates Xxx Xxxxx, or his or her designee, to act as its representative for the performance of this Agreement (“City’s Representative”). City’s Representative shall have the power to act on behalf of the City for all purposes under this Contract. Consultant shall not accept direction or orders from any person other than the City’s Representative or his or her designee.
