EMPLOYEE VOLUNTARY SELF-HELP PROGRAM. An employee who engages in drug/alcohol abuse is encouraged to participate in an Employee Voluntary Self-Help Program. Employees who seek voluntary assistance for alcohol and/or substance abuse may not be disciplined for seeking such assistance. Requests by employees for such assistance shall remain confidential and shall not be revealed to other employees or management personnel without the employee’s consent. The Employer shall not disclose information on drug/alcohol use received from an employee for any purpose or under any circumstances, unless specifically authorized in writing by the employee. The Employer shall offer an employee suffering from alcohol or drug dependency an unpaid medical leave of absence, for the purpose of enrolling and participating in a drug or alcohol rehabilitation program.
