Employee Witness. An employee called as a witness in a grievance proceeding shall be given reasonable release time without loss of compensation, provided that his/her release from duty will not adversely affect the operation of his/her department or unit. When such employees desire release time, they must comply with the notice requirements set forth in Section 5.3 (Notification).
