EMPLOYEES EXEMPT FROM DEFERRED HOURS. a. Employees who work in a unit for which the normal work schedule includes Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays shall be exempt from the reduction in pay, and accrual of deferred hours. b. Bargaining unit employees in the Sheriff’s Department, who work in a work unit or facility which is closed as a result of any office closure authorized by the Board of Supervisors, the County Executive, or any other collective bargaining Agreement will not be furloughed; but instead those employees will be reassigned by the Sheriff to another law enforcement work assignment for the date(s) of said closure.
