Employment Relationship and Severance. The administration and the AAUP recognize that efforts should be made to prevent serious personnel problems from arising. When necessary, disciplinary actions may be taken, using the provisions described in Section E below. At times it may be necessary for an individual member of the bargaining unit to sever their professional relationship or for the administration to sever the professional relationship. Such severance may take place in any of the following ways:
