Common use of Engaging in Action Against the District Clause in Contracts

Engaging in Action Against the District. The Union, its members and representatives, agree that it, and they will not engage in any of the following concerted actions against the District: authorizing, sanctioning, or supporting any strike, slowdown, stoppage of work, curtailment of production, concerted refusal of overtime work, refusal to operate designated equipment (provided such equipment is safe and sound as determined by the Fleet Supervisor and the Duty Chief) or to perform customary duties; and neither the Union nor any representatives thereof shall engage in job action against the District for the purpose of effecting changes in the directives or decisions of management of the District, nor to effect a change of personnel or operations of management or of employees of the District not covered by this Memorandum of Understanding.
