Common use of Enrollment in MCO Other Clause in Contracts

Enrollment in MCO Other. than the MCO Selected In certain circumstances, if an enrollee requests enrollment in a particular MCO, the enrollee may be assigned by the State to an MCO other than the one that he/she requested. Examples of circumstances when an enrollee would not be enrolled in the requested MCO include, but are not limited to, such factors as the enrollee does not reside in the Grand Region covered by the requested MCO, the enrollee has other family members already enrolled in a different MCO, the MCO is closed to new TennCare enrollment, or the enrollee is a member of a population that is to be enrolled in a specified MCO as defined by TENNCARE (e.g., children in the custody of the Department of Children’s Services are enrolled in TennCare Select).
