Common use of Enrollment in Medicare Part Clause in Contracts

Enrollment in Medicare Part. “A” and “B” Retired unit employees and eligible dependents who reach age 65 must enroll in both Medicare Parts “A” and “B” within the prescribed eligibility period. Failure to enroll will result in an increase in the retiree’s medical rates set forth by the insurance carriers to be effective after the first of the month following the eligibility period.
