This requires the Secretary to: (a) In each year develop and publish an Equal Employment Opportunities Programme; (b) Ensure in each year that the Equal Employment Opportunities Programme for that year is complied with throughout the Ministry; (c) Include in the annual report of the Ministry: (i) A summary of the Equal Employment Opportunities Programme for the year to which the report relates; and (ii) An account of the extent to which the Ministry was able to meet, during the year to which the report relates, the Equal Employment Opportunities Programme for that year. 1.6.2 An Equal Employment Opportunities Programme means a programme that is aimed at the identification and elimination of all aspects of policies, procedures and other institutional barriers that cause or perpetuate, or tend to cause or perpetuate, inequality in respect to the employment of any persons or group of persons. 1.6.3 The parties agree that remuneration; job choice and job opportunities in the public service, public health and education sectors should not be affected by gender. 1.6.4 The parties will engage over pay and employment equity. The parties will develop a response plan for any inequities found as part of this process.
