Common use of Equipment Operator Clause in Contracts

Equipment Operator. An employee who is engaged in the operation and routine maintenance of equipment, particularly mobile power equipment associated with the construction, maintenance and repair of streets, parks, pipelines, and other facilities. The employee may be required to direct the work of up to two (2) other lower paid employees. The employee’s background of training and experience shall be such as to qualify the employee to perform the duties safely with skill and efficiency.
