Common use of Escort Duty Clause in Contracts

Escort Duty. (a) Periods during which an employee, is engaged in nursing duties, viz., in attendance on a patient, shall be paid as working time under this Agreement. Where applicable, overtime shall be payable. (b) All reasonable out-of-pocket expenses shall be reimbursed. (c) Rostered time shall be paid as such, even though an employee may be travelling, in hotel/motel accommodation or waiting for transport. (d) In respect of non-rostered time not spent in nursing duties - (i) Periods in hotel/motel accommodation or waiting for transport shall not be counted as working time. (ii) Periods in travelling shall count as working time.
