Night Duty. 222. Employees shall be paid eight percent (8%) more than the base rate for each hour worked between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. if the employee works at least one (1) hour of his/her shift between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., except for those employees participating in an authorized flex-time program and who voluntarily work between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

Night Duty. (a) Employees who are not relieved from night duty (and on-call) during the rostered meal break will be granted a meal break of not less than 20 minutes, to be commenced after completing three hours and not more than five hours of duty. Such meal break will be counted as time worked.

Night Duty. B4.1.5(b)(i) The period of night duty to be worked by an employee must not exceed eight weeks in any six monthly period. These provisions may be varied by agreement with the employee and will not apply if the employee is required to perform duty to enable the nursing service to be carried on in an emergency or when another employee is absent from duty because of illness.
