Extra Duty. A. All extra duty activities and responsibilities for which no additional compensation is paid, but which are normally considered a part of the school's program, shall be on a voluntary basis only. B. Any unit member receiving compensation for extra- duty activity shall consider time devoted to the activity as an addition to the regular duty day and shall assume his/her share of all nonteaching, non-compensated duties on an equitable basis assumed by the other faculty members within the duty day.

Extra Duty. Additional salary in excess of the scheduled salary may be paid to personnel who, due to the nature of their particular assignment, are required to give extra time, possess specialized training and acquire additional training. Personnel identified to receive such extra salary and the amount to be received will be recommended by the Superintendent of Schools subject to the approval of the Board of Education.

Extra Duty. Except for Supplemental Duties, whenever Professional Employee(s) volunteers or is required to work time beyond the work day, or the duty year, as defined in Articles 5 and 6, that time shall be considered Extra Duty. Whenever an employee works in any group which is considered extra duty, a roll sheet will be provided for the employee to sign. This roll sheet will be the official log of time worked. The responsibility for ensuring the availability of the roll sheet is that of the administrator or person who has called the meeting. Employees will only be required to attend meetings approved by the administration. Conferences with parents after the work day shall not apply as extra duty. Hourly payment for Extra Duty does not apply to any of the supplemental duties as defined in Article 17. 3. Activities associated with, or participation on, School Site Councils will not be compensated. 4. If teachers do not volunteer for the duties to be assigned, the district administrators may go outside professional employees to fill such assignments. Employees will be responsible for keeping records of their time, and the principal shall initial that the employee did participate in the extra duty activity for the designated time. Each building administrator will determine when timesheets are to be turned in for building processing for payment with payment to be made the employee’s next pay period. (2008)
Extra Duty. A. All extra duty vacancies listed in Article 29 (except as provided in 7-8-C) shall be filled by MBUs, providing they meet the following criteria. 1. District experience requirements; 2. The five (5) most senior MBUs who apply and meet the posting criteria shall be forwarded for consideration to the hiring authority for any high/middle school coaching vacancy along with any other candidates who meet the same requirements. No fewer than three of the five most senior shall be an interviewed.
Extra Duty. Annual salaries shall always be interpreted to include compensation for other school related duties not connected with the regular classroom assignments which may be assigned. Certain extra duties involve such additional time for preparation and supervision as to make it inequitable to be considered within a regular assignment under the salary schedule. The Board of Education upon the recommendation of the superintendent will determine which extra duty activities shall receive extra pay, and how much they shall receive based upon objective criteria. 1. Extra duty contracts will be issued following the approval of the annual budget and as soon as possible after regular contracts are made available. Human Resources or its designee will issue contracts within one week of the beginning of the event, activity, season, etc. 2. Personnel will be selected to supervise extracurricular activities and fulfill functions that will require additional responsibilities and time on the basis of qualifications necessary to meet the responsibilities. 3. Individuals participating in extra duty assignments will be compensated at a rate that is comparable to those in surrounding school districts. Information regarding current extra duty pay may be obtained through the human resources office. 4. Personnel employed for work which extends beyond the normal school year will be selected on the basis of qualifications and availability to do a particular assignment. 5. Extra duty vacancies will be posted in the buildings where they occur. A copy will be sent to the personnel office for distribution to all buildings. Extra duty vacancies will be posted on the District’s application system.
Extra Duty. Unit members shall participate in extra duty according to the following procedures: 5.4.1. Unit members shall be required to participate in no more than the equivalent of three duties every two years commencing on the 2010-2011 school year.

Extra Duty. 1. Compensation for extra-duty assignments is attached to this Agreement as Appendix B and, by this reference, incorporated herein. 2. Except for the compensation Schedules (Appendix B), the other provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement shall not apply to extra duty assignments. Extra duty assignments shall be considered supplementary to an employee's basic contract and compensation. The District shall have no obligation to continue such assignments, compensation, or activities beyond the term of the extra duty contract. 3. It shall be the responsibility of each building principal, or designee, who has the authority to assign these extra duties in Appendix B, to ensure that personnel who are assigned to such positions are qualified and that they understand District and building policies related to such activities. 4. Stipends for additional grant funded curriculum or professional work will be determined by the parameters of the grant and/or determined by the Labor Management Committee unless stipulated by the collective bargaining agreement.
Extra Duty. Should the employee elect to take on the administration of an extra-curricular activity or other significant duties in addition to those in the job description, they shall be compensated a payment for the duration the employee has the extra duty that is mutually determined by the teacher and the principal.
