Establishment of Seniority Date. a. A regular full-time employee’s seniority date shall be the date on which their most recent period of full-time employment began within the bargaining unit. b. The above--mentioned hire date will not be altered or affected when an employee is on an approved leave of absence of one year or less. c. Transfer or promotion to another full-time position within the bargaining unit shall not affect an employee’s seniority date. d. An employee’s seniority date shall entitle them only to such rights as are expressly provided for in this contract.
