Common use of Estate-Lump Sum Payment Clause in Contracts

Estate-Lump Sum Payment. The City agrees to provide the officers with an accidental death benefit in the amount of seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000.00), which shall be payable to the officer's estate in the event an officer is killed while in the performance of official duties, or dies later as a result of injuries incurred while in the performance of official duties. The City agrees that the accidental death benefit shall be paid in addition to any and all benefits the officer's estate is qualified and entitled to receive.
