Common use of ETHICS REQUIREMENTS Clause in Contracts

ETHICS REQUIREMENTS. If the Corporation requires Consultant or Subconsultant to file a statement of economic interests as a result of the Professional Services performed, pursuant to this Agreement, Consultant or Subconsultant shall be considered a “City Official” subject to the provisions of the City of San Diego Ethics Ordinance, codified in the SDMC at sections 27.3501 to 27.3595, including the prohibition against lobbying the City for one year following the termination of this Agreement. Consultant or Subconsultant shall establish and make known to its employees and agents appropriate safeguards to prohibit employees from using their positions for a purpose that is, or that gives the appearance of being, motivated by the desire for private gain for themselves or others, particularly those with whom they have family, business, or other relationships.
