Match Requirements. The Agreement requires at least a 41% match on the part of the Grantee. Therefore, the Grantee is responsible for providing $34,850 through cash or third party in-kind towards the work funded under this Agreement. The Grantee may claim allowable project expenditures made on October 1, 2017 or after for purposes of meeting its match requirement as identified above. Each payment request submitted shall document all matching funds and/or match efforts (i.e., in-kind services) provided during the period covered by each request. The final payment will not be processed until the match requirement has been met. If, upon completion of this Project, actual Project costs are less than the total estimated Project costs, and there are no pending payment requests, the Grantee’s required match may be reduced proportionately, as long as at least a 41% match of the actual total cost of the Project is provided by the Grantee and the reduced amount satisfies statutory and program requirements.

Match Requirements. Grantee must provide a minimum match for administrative activities, as required by the OAA, and must assure the total match for services is enough to meet the requirements of the OAA and HHSC rules. 9.1 Match must be in accordance with 40 TAC §85.202(i). Match Requirements a. The District match payment will be made on a per teacher maximum determined through the use of the following formula: $1,600,000 divided by the prior calendar year’s number of teacher tax-deferred savings plan participants minus the teachers no longer actively working. (The definition of teachers not actively working is comprised of teacher terminations and teachers who are on unpaid leave who have a return to work date after the current school year.) Effective January 1, 2021, the District match payment will pay an annual match payment of up to $2,000 for participating employees. b. Tax-deferred savings plan participants will be matched on a per pay period basis while they are deferring into the plan(s) until they reach their match for the qualifying calendar year. c. Only deductions that employees defer during the match period (calendar year) shall be matched by the District. d. The teacher must have enrolled, elected to defer, and in fact deferred a qualifying amount during the same qualifying calendar year, to qualify for the match. e. Teachers on unpaid leave when the match is made on a per pay period basis will begin receiving their match when they return to paid status.
Match Requirements. (A) The Grantee is committed to the match amount listed on page one of the Contract, in accordance with the approved budget in Appendix A. Match cannot be earned prior to the Start Date on page one of the Contract. The Grantee shall expend all local match committed to the Project by the End Date on page one of the Contract. Cash is any money received from any source, other than from federal sources, that is part of the applicant’s annual budget and audit process and will be utilized in the implementation of the Project. 2. In-kind includes services or financial contributions to the Project not paid for with the grant or other federal funds. These include: a. Technical and/or administrative assistance provided by the Grantee, other entities, or persons not paid for with the grant or with federal funds. b. All or a portion of the Grantee’s indirect costs not otherwise paid for with the grant or with federal funds. c. Use of local and state agency vehicles other than those of the Grantee. d. Cost-share agreements from landowners. e. Unpaid members of local task forces, watershed councils, work groups, citizen groups, etc. are considered volunteers, and may be calculated at the prevailing national minimum wage (currently $7.25/hour) unless justification is provided for a higher rate. Additional skilled labor may be charged at a higher rate with additional, detailed justification. (B) Grantee match from other projects may not be counted toward meeting the specific match requirement of this Contract and must come from non-Federal sources. (C) Should the Grantee become aware that it may be unable to provide the Grantee match amount identified on page one of this Contract, the Grantee must: 1. Immediately notify the Commission’s Point of Contact of the situation and provide a detailed description of the Grantee’s impaired ability to provide the match amount; 2. Specify the steps Grantee plans to take to secure replacement Grantee match in writing for approval by the Commission; and 3. Indicate the Grantee’s plans to either continue or phase out the Project in the absence of Grantee match. (D) If the Commission agrees to the Grantee’s proposed plans, the Grantee will be notified accordingly.
