ETU Shop Stewards Charter. The Charter is to be read in conjunction with other clauses in this Agreement relating to Shop Stewards a) The right to be treated fairly and to perform their role as an ETU Shop Xxxxxxx without any discrimination in their employment. b) The right to formal recognition by the Company that the endorsed ETU Shop Xxxxxxx will speak on behalf of ETU members in the workplace. c) The right to represent collectively on behalf of employees d) The right to consultation, and access to all relevant information about the workplace and the Company. e) The right to paid time to represent the interests of members to the Union, Company/s and industrial tribunals. f) The right to paid time during normal working hours to consult with Union members and officials g) The right to paid time to participate in the operation of the Union during normal working hours. h) The right to paid time to attend accredited Union education during normal working hours. i) The right to address all new employees about the benefits of ETU membership at the time they enter employment. j) The right of access to private telephone, facsimile, post, photocopying, Internet and e-mail facilities on major projects (and elsewhere where practicable) for the purpose of carrying out work as a delegate and consulting with workplace colleagues, other relevant Union representatives, the Company and the Union. k) The right to place Union information on a notice board in a prominent location in the workplace.
