Evaluation of the professional activities of the administrative faculty in the State University improves the quality of the learning environment by assessing an employee's contributions to it and by encouraging that person to grow and develop as a professional educator. The purpose of such confidential, written evaluations shall be to identify an employee's strengths and/or weaknesses as a faculty member on a continuing basis and to assist the employee in delivering quality professional service. These evaluations may form a cumulative record for personnel decisions. The parties agree, prior to award of a continuing appointment, positive evaluations do not ensure renewal of appointment.
