PURPOSE OF THE EVALUATION PROCESS The primary purpose of evaluation is to recognize commendable practices and to assist the teacher with the improvement of instruction and effective management of students. The evaluation process is intended to provide the teacher with careful, objective, and systematic assessment of teacher competence and effectiveness in relation to instructional methodology, adherence to the California State Standards, and District’s recorded curriculum.
