- EXAMS FOR LICENSES. a. The District will provide for a free physical examination by the District physician, as required by law, for the renewal of a driver’s license. If it is impracticable for the employee to obtain either a driver’s or a physical examination, as required by the District, during his or her off-duty hours, the District will allow the employee time off with pay to do so. b. If the examination or test cannot be completed during normal working hours, the employee will be given an allowance for that portion which cannot be completed during working hours, up to a maximum of one (1) hour at the straight time rate, one (1) time only, for each examination or test.
