Common use of Excavation Safety Clause in Contracts

Excavation Safety. If such plan varies from the Shoring System Standards established by the Safety Orders, the plan shall be prepared by a registered civil or structural engineer, but in no case shall such plan be less effective than that required by the Safety Orders. No excavation of such trench or trenches shall be commenced until said plan has been accepted by the District or by the person to whom authority to accept has been delegated by the District.
