Exchange of Days Off. Unit 18 employees shall be permitted to exchange hours of work with other employees in the same classification or lower classification within the series, performing the same type of duties within the same work areas, provided: 1. The exchange occurs within a period not to exceed 30 calendar days. 2. The employees make a written request to their supervisor at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the exchange, and the request is approved by the supervisor. An exchange shall be prohibited where it would result in overtime or other additional compensation under the FLSA or this Agreement. This does not preclude exchanges between employees on different shifts.
