Common use of Existing electricity connection Clause in Contracts

Existing electricity connection. If you move into the premises and it has an existing electricity connection, then we will charge you for electricity supplied to the premises from the date that the meter at the premises was last read, unless you read the meter and advise Western Power Networks of the meter reading within 3 business days from the day that you move in. If a final meter reading was not taken, we will estimate the amount of electricity used by the previous occupant so we do not overcharge or undercharge you.
