Extended Illness and Accident Leave. 10.5.1 If an employee has utilized all of their accumulated sick leave and is still absent from their duties on account of illness or accident, the unit member may borrow 10 days of paid sick leave from the following year. In turn, the employee shall agree in writing to repay upon resignation or within 2 years, whichever is sooner, any monies owed the Board as a result of there being at that time an excess of used sick leave days over the earned sick leave days.
