Common use of Extended Leave of Absence for Illness Clause in Contracts

Extended Leave of Absence for Illness. A. Upon written request an employee will be granted a leave of absence without pay for a period of not more than two consecutive school years where personal illness or other disability is the reason for the request as substantiated by a physician. B. An employee returning from such leave will be returned to the contract status that was held prior to the leave. C. An employee, while on leave of absence, shall notify the Superintendent by April 1 of his/her intention to return or not to return at the expiration of the leave of absence. D.
