Extending parental leave. Written notice by the employee to extend a parental leave of less than thirty-five (35) weeks if the employee also received pregnancy leave, or thirty-seven (37) weeks if the employee did not receive pregnancy leave, will be given at least four (4) weeks prior to the termination of the initially approved leave.

Written notice by the employee to extend a 58.3.1 An Employee, who is on an initial period of parental leave of less than thirty52 weeks, may extend the period of their parental leave on one occasion up to the full 52-five (35) weeks if week entitlement. 58.3.2 The Employee must notify the employee also received pregnancy leave, or thirty-seven (37) weeks if the employee did not receive pregnancy leave, will be given Employer in writing at least four (4) weeks prior to the termination end date of their initial parental leave period. The notice must specify the new end date of the initially approved parental leave.
