Pregnancy, Parental and Adoption Leave. The Board provides pregnancy, parental and adoption leave for employees for such period before and after delivery or adoption of a child as will serve the interest of the students, the Board and the employee concerned, and in conformity with the requirements of the Employment Standards Act. Pregnancy is regarded as a normal health condition and not as sickness. No distinction is made between illness resulting from pregnancy and other types of illness for the purpose of sick leave coverage.

Pregnancy, Parental and Adoption Leave. (a) Leave of absence for pregnancy/parental reasons shall be granted as per the Employment Standards Act as amended from time to time. Such leave shall be without loss of seniority.

Pregnancy, Parental and Adoption Leave. The Board will grant pregnancy, parental and adoption leave in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Standards Act. (See Schedule The Board agrees to pay employees who qualify for benefits the equivalent of benefits during the two (2) week waiting period. "Pregnancy, Parental and Adoption Leave will be granted in accordance with the Employment Standards Act of BC (RSBC 1996) Chapter 113".
Pregnancy, Parental and Adoption Leave. 24.01 (a) An Employee who is pregnant shall be entitled, upon their application, to a leave of absence of seventeen (17) weeks, or such shorter leave as they may request, commencing at any time during the seventeen (17) weeks immediately preceding the estimated birth date or on the date of birth, if earlier.
