Extent and Distribution. 12 11.9.4.1 Sabbatical leaves will be granted for not more than one (1) year. 13 11.9.4.2 Sabbatical leaves shall coincide with the school year or the school 14 semester. 15 11.9.4.3 The applicant for a sabbatical leave will be guaranteed the same 16 position on the unit member's return. This means that the unit 17 member will return to the same school and to a comparable status 18 in his/her department. 19 11.9.4.4 The number of unit members approved for sabbatical leave shall not 20 exceed one (1) percent of the certificated employees in the unit.
