Qualifying Service. For purposes of this Agreement, continuous employment means the absence of any interruption or termination of employment or service as an employee, officer or consultant of or to the Company or a Subsidiary, as applicable, and references to termination of employment (or similar references) shall include termination of employment or service as an employee, officer or consultant of or to the Company or a Subsidiary, as applicable. Unless the Plan Administrator otherwise determines in its sole discretion, a change of your employment or service from the Company to a Subsidiary or from a Subsidiary to the Company or another Subsidiary will not be considered a termination of your employment for purposes of this Agreement if such change of employment or service is made at the request or with the express consent of the Company. Unless the Plan Administrator otherwise determines in its sole discretion, however, any such change of employment or service that is not made at the request or with the express consent of the Company will be a termination of your employment within the meaning of this Agreement.
Qualifying Service. (a) Paid parental leave will count as qualifying service for all purposes under this Agreement.
(b) Qualifying service for any purpose under this Agreement is to be calculated according to the number of weeks of paid parental leave that were taken at full pay or would have been had the employee not taken paid parental leave at half pay. Employees who take paid parental leave on half pay do not accrue Agreement entitlements beyond those that would have accrued had they taken the leave at full pay.
Qualifying Service. A telecommunications service that competes with a telecommunications service that has been traditionally the exclusive or primary domain of the incumbent LECs, including, but not limited to, local exchange service, such as plain old telephone services, and access services, such as digital subscriber line services and high-capacity circuits.
Qualifying Service. A Qualifying Service is a telecommunications service that competes with a telecommunications service that has been traditionally the exclusive or primary domain of incumbent local exchange carriers, including, but not limited to, local exchange service (such as “Plain Old Telephone Service”), and access service (such as DSL services and high-capacity circuits).
Qualifying Service. A. In addition to subscribing to an Embarq Communications long distance plan, Customer must also subscribe to one of the following qualifying services per MultiLine Bundle location:
(1) CenturyLink Business-Class High-Speed Internet at a minimum download speed of up to 1.5 Mbps (where available), offered under the terms of the CenturyLink Business-Class High-Speed Internet Services Annex (in locations where up to1.5 Mbps is not available, Customer may alternative subscribe to CenturyLink’s up to 768 Kbps service or Satellite Broadband Service), posted to xxxx://xxxxx.xxxxxxxxxxx.xxx/legal/rates_conditions.html; or
(2) CenturyLink Dedicated Internet Access Service, offered under the terms of the EMBARQ Dedicated Internet Access and EMBARQ C.I. Dedicated Internet Access Service Annex, posted to xxxx://xxxxx.xxxxxxxxxxx.xxx/legal/rates_conditions.html, per each MultiLine Bundle Location.
B. The qualifying service must be billed on the same invoice as the MultiLine Bundles, but may be provisioned on access lines or trunks other than the MultiLine Bundle that are billed under the same invoice.
Qualifying Service. Qualifying service shall be construed as seventy-five percent (75%) of the teaching days for each school year, except that a year in which the applicant has rendered some service but has failed to serve seventy-five percent (75%) of the teaching days shall not be counted as an interruption of the seven consecutive year period. Leaves of absence with pay shall be included to meet the seventy-five percent (75%) requirement.
Qualifying Service. Unless the Committee in its sole discretion determines otherwise in connection with the commencement of employment or service to Liberty Media Corporation, Qurate Retail, Inc. or any entity that is a Subsidiary of either of them, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Agreement, Grantee’s employment or service with Liberty Media Corporation, Qurate Retail, Inc. or any entity that is a Subsidiary of either of them at the time of determination shall be deemed to be employment or service with the Company for all purposes under the Awards granted pursuant to this Agreement.
Qualifying Service. Where service credited is less than service actually served in the previous scheme, the transferred service will count at its actual length in the previous scheme for the purposes of the preservation requirements. Qualification for other scheme benefits will depend on the new scheme's rules.
Qualifying Service a) Service carrying entitlement to long service leave will comprise continuous service in the employment of the University, including periods of paid leave. For casual staff employed on a regular and systematic basis, reference should be made to the
Qualifying Service. (1) If a Member:
(a) is prospectively entitled at Target Retirement Date to increased benefits because of "supplementary credits" (as defined in section 75 of the PSA 1993); and
(b) leaves Service before Target Retirement Date entitled to Short Service Benefit, his or her Short Service Benefit must include a due proportion of all the supplementary credits to the extent required under that section 75.
(2) The Trustee may make any determination it thinks necessary for ensuring that the Scheme complies with the Preservation Requirements. The provisions of such determination will override any provision of the Rules to the extent that they are inconsistent.
