EXTERIOR OF CAB CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS. 4-1-1 The cab shall be a custom “severe service” type fire apparatus, with a full-tilt cab constructed of aluminum or steel. Width of cab shall not exceed 100 inches. The cab front corners shall be contoured, with full length and width fender well liners. Both of the liners shall extend out past the cab side sheet work and terminate in a highly polished stainless steel fender crown. The exterior of the rear cab wall shall be covered with bright aluminum tread plate where exposed.
