Salary Ranges β The normal starting salary for a successful external candidate for a vacancy in a salary range may be established by the hiring department at a salary rate up to 15 percent above the established range minimum salary. Hires beyond the 15 percent hiring range, but not in excess of the established range maximum, require VP/Xxxxxxx approval and authorization.
