Extra Degree Allowance. i) An allowance of $800.00 shall be paid to all members of the Bargaining Unit who hold a post graduate degree at the Canadian Masters Level, or equivalent, or, an allowance of $1,200.00 will be paid to all members of the Bargaining Unit who hold a post graduate degree at the Canadian Doctoral Level, or equivalent, so long as these degrees, according to QECO evaluation, are not being used for grid placement. This allowance will have the effect of piercing the maxima of the salary grid for those members eligible to receive this allowance.
