Extra Use of Schools. When a school has been used by a group and the work involved in cleaning and maintaining the facility after the group's use results in extra hours of work, the provisions of Articles 15 and 23 shall apply. Part-time employees shall be offered the "extra work" and the overtime provisions shall be effective for all hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours on a given day or in excess of forty (40) hours a week. When a part-time employee is not available to do the extra work, preference shall be given to a casual who has seniority rights. Nothing in this clause shall prevent the school district from assigning regular full-time custodians to perform the "extra work" at the overtime rate.
