Common use of Federally Regulated Employees Clause in Contracts

Federally Regulated Employees. i) An employee will be granted leave of absence on any of his/her normal working days during the three days immediately following the death of a member of his/her “immediate” family. Base earnings will be maintained for employees who have completed at least 3 consecutive months of continuous service. “Immediate” family shall be as defined in the Canada Labour Code: spouse, including common-law; father and mother of employee; spouse of father and mother, including common-law; children; brothers and sisters; father-in-law; mother-in-law; spouse of father-in-law and of mother-in-law, including common law and relative of employee who resides permanently in the employee’s household or with whom the employee resides.
