FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS AND SUPPORT. 11.1 Recognizing the significant financial investments required to support Woodland Caribou conservation and recovery, the Parties will work together on an annual basis to identify needs, priorities and funding opportunities to implement conservation and recovery measures to achieve the recovery outcomes identified in this Agreement.
11.2 The Parties recognize that implementation of this Agreement is subject to their respective appropriations, priorities and budgetary constraints.
FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS AND SUPPORT. 10.1 Recognizing the significant financial investments required to support Southern Mountain Caribou recovery, Canada and British Columbia, subject to sections 10.2 to 10.4, commit to contribute funding, including for the specific Conservation and Recovery Measures as identified in Annex 2, as well as overarching activities such as science and engagement activities, outlined annually in the Joint Southern Mountain Caribou Work Plan.
10.2 Each Party’s commitment to fund or implement any Conservation and Recovery Measure in this Agreement, including without limitation, the specific Conservation and Recovery Measures that are outlined in Annex 2, are subject to an appropriation being available for that particular measure during the applicable fiscal year of the Party.
10.3 Canada and British Columbia acknowledge and agree that any funding to implement this Agreement is subject to their respective priorities and budgetary constraints.
10.4 Canada and British Columbia further acknowledge that neither Party is providing assurances to the other Party that it will obtain funding, or any required approvals or mandates that may be required to implement any Conservation and Recovery Measures.
FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS AND SUPPORT. The Parties recognize that significant financial investment is required in the short, medium, and long-term if the Parties are to have any prospect of achieving the Shared Recovery Objective. The Parties further acknowledge that British Columbia and Canada bear the primary responsibility for providing or otherwise securing the necessary investment.
FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS AND SUPPORT. 10.1 Recognizing the significant financial investments required to support boreal caribou conservation and recovery, the Parties will work together to identify needs, priorities and funding opportunities to implement measures to achieve the Goal and Purpose identified in this Agreement.
10.2 The Parties recognize that implementation of this Agreement is subject to their respective appropriations, priorities and budgetary constraints.
10.3 Canada will contribute funds to support the participation of Indigenous partners to achieve the Goal and Purpose. Half of these funds will support the GNWT to coordinate and facilitate Indigenous engagement and half will provide support to Indigenous organizations for participating in activities related to all aspects of this Agreement.
10.4 It is understood that any financial contribution by Canada pursuant to subsection 10.3 would be the subject of a separate agreement between the Parties. Pursuant to section 40 of the Financial Administration Act (R.S.C. 1985, c. F-11), if Canada does not receive the necessary appropriation from Parliament for any payment Canada may be obligated to make under this Partnership Agreement or a separate funding agreement, Canada shall not be obligated to make the payment.
FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS AND SUPPORT. 9.1 Acknowledging the significant financial expense required to support Boreal Caribou recovery and protection, the Parties shall identify financial needs, priorities and funding opportunities to implement Conservation Measures identified in this Agreement.
9.2 The Parties recognize that implementation of this Agreement is subject to their respective appropriations, priorities, legal jurisdictions and budgetary constraints.
9.3 Canada has entered into Contribution Agreements with ACFN (GXCE20C335) and MCFN (GCXE20C334) to support ACFN and MCFN’s meaningful and effective involvement in the Conservation Measures. The funding from Canada to ACFN and MCFN is subject to the Contribution Agreements’ terms and conditions.
9.4 The terms and conditions by which funding is provided by Canada for this Agreement are set out in separate funding agreements. For greater certainty, Canada shall be guided by its applicable policies when developing and negotiating any funding agreements, including those that may arise in the event of successful applications for funding from the Canada Nature Fund.
9.5 This Agreement does not create a requirement for any collaborator to provide financial contributions. It is understood that if any collaborator is in a position to provide financial contributions to support implementation of Conservation Measures in Appendix B, this will be provided for outside of this Agreement and will be subject to appropriations, priorities, and budgetary constraints of the collaborators.
FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS AND SUPPORT. 11.1 Recognizing the significant financial investments required to support SMC Central Group recovery, the Parties will work together to identify needs, priorities and funding opportunities to implement measures to achieve the recovery outcomes identified in this Agreement.
FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS AND SUPPORT. 12.1 Recognizing the significant financial investments required to support Wood Bison conservation and management in Alberta, the Parties will seek funding and will work together on an annual basis to identify needs and priorities, to implement Conservation and Management Measures to achieve the provisions identified in this Agreement.
12.2 The Parties recognize that implementation of this Agreement is subject to their respective appropriations, priorities and budgetary constraints.
12.3 Canada agrees to provide Alberta with financial support for the implementation of this Agreement, the details of which will be set out in separate contribution agreements.

12.2 The Parties recognize that implementation of this agreement is subject to their respective appropriations, priorities and budgetary constraints.
12.3 Canada agrees to provide Newfoundland and Labrador financial support for activities that have been outlined in this agreement. The terms and conditions of the financial support will be set out in separate contribution agreements.

The Parties will work together on an annual basis to identify needs, priorities, and additional funding opportunities, including non-government partners, to implement conservation and recovery measures to achieve the recovery outcomes identified in this Agreement. The Parties recognize that implementation of this Agreement is subject to their respective appropriations, priorities, and budgetary constraints. Canada agrees to provide Alberta with financial support for the implementation of this Agreement, the details of which will be set out in separate contribution agreements.
