Fines and Waiting Time Clause Samples
The "Fines and Waiting Time" clause establishes the rules for imposing financial penalties when delays occur beyond agreed-upon waiting periods. Typically, this clause specifies the circumstances under which fines are triggered, such as when a party is kept waiting for loading, unloading, or other contractual obligations, and details how the fines are calculated—often on a per-hour or per-day basis. Its core function is to incentivize timely performance and compensate the affected party for losses or inconvenience caused by unnecessary delays, thereby promoting efficiency and accountability in contract execution.
