Fire Extinguishers. ▪ NFPA 10: Portable Fire Extinguishers ▪ Selection, installation, inspection, maintenance, recharging, and testing of portable fire extinguishers and Class D extinguishing agents. ▪ Visual inspections should occur monthly when initially placed in service and at least every 30 days thereafter. ▪ Awarded Contractor is required to replace defective, incorrect contents, incorrectly sized or incorrectly placed fire extinguishers at no charge, and within 12 hours of notification.
