First Warning (Verbal). The Employee shall be notified by their Head of Department of any unacceptable behavior or poor job performance and given direction as to how to rectify the problem. (a) In the case where the Head of Department is the person to whom the verbal warning is directed, the Production Manager will give the warning. (b) The Employee will be allowed two working days to improve their unacceptable behaviour or poor job performance. (c) The Employee receiving the warning has the right to have a Union representative present. (d) The Union will be notified as to which Employee the warning was given and the reason for the warning. (e) The Union will verify with the Employee that the verbal warning has been given and will ensure the Employee understands the implications of the warning.
