Common use of Float Holidays Clause in Contracts

Float Holidays. In the event of an additional holiday as a result of Legislation, such will be substituted for one of the above noted holidays as determined by the Hospital and such designated holiday shall not add to the present number of holidays. For the purpose of determining eligibility for Float Holidays as provided under 17.02 below, the Hospital shall determine and designate a separate qualifying date for each Float Holiday (i.e. Heritage Day, Easter Monday, Remembrance Day, Employee’s Anniversary Date of Employment or Employee’s Birthday). The Hospital may designate an alternate day off for any paid holiday that falls on an Employee’s regular day off.
