Formal Reprimand. A formal reprimand is a written expression of dissatisfaction with some aspect of the employee’s performance of duties or a violation of a University policy. Where appropriate, a Department may clarify expectations in advance of issuing formal discipline. Remarks, suggestions, or comments, formal or informal, designed to correct or improve an employee’s performance are not subject to this Article.
