Forty (40) Hour Workweek. The average forty (40) hour workweek shall consist of five (5) eight (8) hour workdays, including a thirty (30) minute paid lunch break, and two (2) days off. The salary and wage ranges prescribed in Article 12 for the respective classes of positions are based on an average workweek of forty (40) hours or forty-eight (48) hours, and a typical work year of two thousand eighty (2,080) hours or two thousand four hundred ninety-six (2,496) hours, respectively.
