Common use of General Subcontracting Requirements Clause in Contracts

General Subcontracting Requirements. For purposes of this Article 6 the term “Subcontractor” shall include the term “Supplier.” Design-Builder shall assure that the Work under all Subcontracts, when taken together, will be complete and sufficient for the entire construction of the Project as required by the Contract Documents. Design-Builder’s Subcontracting records are not intended to be considered public records; provided, however, that Owner and other agencies of the State shall retain the right to audit and monitor the Subcontracting process to protect Owner’s interests. Design-Builder’s use of Subcontractors shall not relieve Design-Builder of any of its obligations or liabilities under the Contract Documents. Design-Builder shall have sole responsibility for managing, coordinating, and settling disputes involving any Subcontractor.
