GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING SERVICES (Terracon Consultants, Inc. The Sub-Consultant will complete a geotechnical analysis for subsurface explorations and stability evaluation within the effected project areas as follows: Task C.1 – Initial Geotechnical Exploration The task consists of the following services: • Completion of six (6) to nine (9) soil borings (30’-40’ depth) per effected project area. • Site reconnaissance by Geotechnical Engineer with soil boring crew • Slope stability analysis of conditions on selected cross-sections and up to two repair optionsPreparation of preliminary report for geotechnical review Task C.2 Laboratory Testing Geotechnical laboratory testing shall consist of the following: • Conventional laboratory testing (i.e. water contents, dry unit weights if intact, and visual classification) • Unconfined compressive strength of selected thin-walled tubes • Atterberg limits tests – 6 to 8 samples per effected project area • Grain-sized analysis – 6 to 8 samples per effected project area • Triaxial consolidated-undrained test with pore pressure measurements – 3 stress levels per test - 0 tests planned • Torsional ring shear test – 3 stress levels per test – 2 tests planned per effected project area

  • Geotechnical Services Engineer will obtain all necessary subsurface investigations, tests, reports, and perform related surveys.

  • Engineering Services Definition: Engineering Services includes any service or creative work, the adequate performance of which requires education, training and experience in the application of special knowledge in consulting, investigating, evaluating, planning and designing, engineering principles. Engineering Services covered by the Xxxxxx Architect-Engineers Act (40 U.S.C. 1102) are not covered in the primary scope of OASIS SB. Examples: Service areas that are included under the Engineering Services discipline include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services are not permitted to be provided under this Agreement. Texas statutes prohibit the procurement of Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services through a cooperative agreement.

  • Laboratory Services Covered Services include prescribed diagnostic clinical and anatomic pathological laboratory services and materials when authorized by a Member's PCP and HPN’s Managed Care Program.

  • Design Development Phase Services 3.3.1 Based on the Owner’s approval of the Schematic Design Documents, and on the Owner’s authorization of any adjustments in the Project requirements and the budget for the Cost of the Work, the Architect shall prepare Design Development Documents for the Owner’s approval. The Design Development Documents shall illustrate and describe the development of the approved Schematic Design Documents and shall consist of drawings and other documents including plans, sections, elevations, typical construction details, and diagrammatic layouts of building systems to fix and describe the size and character of the Project as to architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical systems, and other appropriate elements. The Design Development Documents shall also include outline specifications that identify major materials and systems and establish, in general, their quality levels.

  • Value Engineering The Supplier may prepare, at its own cost, a value engineering proposal at any time during the performance of the contract. The value engineering proposal shall, at a minimum, include the following;

  • Building Commissioning Services The Owner may provide as a part of its testing services the Building Commissioning services involving the project’s HVAC and exhaust systems, temperature control systems, fire detection and alarm systems, emergency power and lighting system, fire suppression system, security locks and security locking control systems, food service equipment (if applicable), and laundry equipment (if applicable). In the event the Using Agency’s Program specifies additional commissioning services, the Owner shall procure such services as well. The Owner, through its Executive Administrator, may engage an independent Commissioning Authority. It is the intent of this Article that the Commissioning Authority enforce the requirements mentioned herein and certify that the systems and equipment listed all function properly prior to the initiation of each final inspection.

  • SCOPE OF ARCHITECT’S BASIC SERVICES 3.1 The Architect’s Basic Services consist of those described in this Article 3 and include usual and customary structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering services. Services not set forth in this Article 3 are Supplemental or Additional Services.
