Laboratory Services definition

Laboratory Services means those professional and technical diagnostic analyses of blood, urine, and tissue ordered by a physician or other licensed practitioner of the healing arts within his or her scope of practice as defined under state law and provided to a patient by or under the direction of a physician or appropriate licensed practitioner in an office or similar facility, hospital, or independent laboratory.
Laboratory Services means laboratory testing and analysis of Samples conducted by Stratum at a Stratum Facility and the preparation of Reports with respect thereto, as specified in an Order. “Order(s)” means the transactions between the Parties for Laboratory Services Agreement This Agreement
Laboratory Services. The HMO must ensure that in-network reference laboratory services must be of sufficient size and scope to meet the non-emergency and emergency needs of the enrolled population and the access requirements in Section 8.1.3. Reference laboratory specimen procurement services must facilitate the provision of clinical diagnostic services for physicians, Providers and Members through the use of convenient reference satellite labs in each Service Area, strategically located specimen collection areas in each Service Area, and the use of a courier system under the management of the reference lab. For Medicaid Members, Texas Health Steps requires that laboratory specimens obtained as part of a Texas Health Steps medical checkup visit must be sent to the TDSHS Laboratory. Diagnostic imaging: The HMO must ensure that diagnostic imaging services are available and accessible to all Members in each Service Area in accordance with the access standards in Section 8.1.3. The HMO must ensure that diagnostic imaging procedures that require the injection or ingestion of radiopaque chemicals are performed only under the direction of physicians qualified to perform those procedures.

  • The terms of this Agreement, including the Laboratory Services and Compensation Schedule shall apply to such services.

  • If this Agreement terminates as a result of insolvency or cessation of operations of Xxxxxxx Xxxxx Plus, then in addition to other obligations set forth in this section, Laboratory shall continue to provide Laboratory Services to: (a) all Members for the period for which premium has been paid; and (b) Members that are patients of Laboratory on the date of insolvency or other cessation of operations until services have been fully rendered.

  • The Parties agree that Xxxxxxx Xxxxx Plus, have the right to perform utilization management (including retrospective review) and to adjust or deny payment for the inefficient delivery of Laboratory Services.

  • Laboratory agrees to provide Laboratory Services to Members with the same degree of care and skill as customarily provided to Laboratorys’ patients who are not Members, according to generally accepted standards of practice.

  • Preventive Laboratory Services are covered at One Hundred percent (100%) with no copayment, co-insurance, or deductibles in accordance with PPACA.

Laboratory Services means services performed by reference laboratories in the Territory.
